Dear Prospective Festival Teacher:

The 2012 National High School Dance Festival will be hosted by the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, March 8-11, 2012. There are so many of you who have already inquired about the festival and your willingness to teach, and we thank you for that. If you are an independent teacher or on the faculty of a high school, or a member of an outstanding summer program, private institution, or university program, please consider volunteering as a Festival Teacher.

As students prepare for careers in the dance world, the impact of this type of Festival experience cannot be overemphasized.

Even if your school will not be involved in recruitment, we encourage your participation as a Festival Teacher.  For further information, please go to the www.nhsdf.org

Classes will be 75-90 minutes in length. Classes on Friday and Saturday will be offered from 8am until 4:30 pm. Sunday classes are tentatively scheduled from 9:30 - 11:00am.

Feel free to share this invitation with others whom you consider to be Master teachers.

Please understand that we may not be able to involve all who are interested, but your response is very much appreciated.  Please submit (fax or Email) your Festival Faculty Volunteer Interest Form no later than September 30, 2011.

Final decisions on the Teaching Faculty will be made by the Festival Faculty Committee. You will be contacted regarding selections by early November.
